Breed Standard for the Boxer--Adult males are 22 1/2 to 25 inches at the withers and females 21 to 23 1/2 inches. Males typically weigh 66-70 pounds and females 55-60 pounds. The ideal Boxer is a medium-sized, square built dog with an intelligent and alert expression. They are courageous and strong dogs, yet are remarkable family companions. They love to play often, even as adults.
